Quite a dangerous meat to consume due to the high fat and grease. If you have to though look for the leanest cut of meat with the least fat around the edges, don't fry the bacon in a pan but cook it on a lower temperature in the oven and drain the fat.

I've been experimenting with nitrate free bacon and so far I've not had any issues with it so maybe this form of bacon might be a safer option.

I’ve also only have eaten nitrate free bacon for years and haven’t had much issues with it, although I’ve switched to turkey bacon now since my diagnosis as a precaution.

I have found that if i grill bacon and not fried i have no issues with my gut and colon. I used to get very upset with fried bacon and also i do not eat bacon in pubs or restaurants as they cook it in tons of oil, which flares my corhn's and end up spending a lot of trip's to the loo.
