Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Instructions

Marinade
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons rapeseed oil
  • 2-inch knob ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup regular soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch + 1/4 cup water (combined beforehand)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
Cooking - Option 1

Deep fry wings in pan of rapeseed oil (in batches), cooking for roughly 8 minutes at a time until golden brown

Combine all marinade ingredients and simmer at a low heat, stiring occasionally, until you have a thick sauce

Combine together, garnish and serve

Boil chicken wings in water (in batches) for 10-12 minutes at a time.
